KS2 SLIDESHOW AND POWER POINT VOCABULARY​

Basic Vocabulary

Slide – A page in a presentation.
Presentation – A group of slides to share information.
Text – The words on a slide.
Image – A picture on a slide.
Animation – Movement on a slide.
Background – The color or picture behind the text.
Layout – How everything is arranged on the slide.
Title – The name of the presentation.
Content – The information on the slides.
Engage – To catch the audience's interest.

Intermediate Vocabulary

PowerPoint – The program used to make presentations.
Slide Show – A display of slides one after the other.
Transition – The way one slide changes to another.
Multimedia – Using pictures, sounds, and videos together.
Link – A way to go to another slide or website.
Theme – The overall look of the slides.
Bullet Points – Short lists with dots in front.
Font – The style of the text.
Narration – Speaking during the presentation.
Audience – The people watching the presentation.

Advanced Vocabulary

Export – To save a presentation as a video.
Video – A moving picture with sound.
Script – The words you will say in the presentation.
Edit – To change or improve your slides.
Quality – How good the video looks and sounds.
Storyboard – A plan for how the video will go.
Recording – To capture your voice or video.
Feedback – Comments about the presentation to help you improve.
Reflection – Thinking about what you did well and what to improve.
Engagement – Keeping the audience interested.
