KS1 Computer Music & Sound

Chrome Music Lab is a website that makes learning music more accessible through fun, hands-on experiments. Teacher can use Chrome Music Lab as a tool to explore music and its connections to sciencemathart, and more. With Song Maker children can make their very own music.

Purple Mash has a range of music related programs. See lesson 2.7 in the Purple Mash Computing Scheme of Work for more ideas and lesson plans.

Aims

- To be introduced to making music digitally using different software.
- To explore, edit and combine digital sounds.
- To add sounds to a tune they’ve already created to change it.
- To think about how music can be used to express feelings and create tunes which depict feelings.
- Use software to record sounds.
