The use of Scratch and other programming languages as an educational tool has increased in recent years in both primary and secondary education.
Scratch is a programming language and an online community where children can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world.
As Modern Foreign Language teachers we can use Scratch, so our students can code their own interactive stories, animations and games in the language we want. In the process, they learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively, essential skills for everyone in today´s society.
These experiences are very motivating and positive, not only to develop digital literacy, but also to improve the MFL learning.
Year 5 and 6 are currently working on it... and it´s so fun!!. We can now enjoy some of their projects here!!! ¡¡VAMOS!!
